In other words, he wanted to get people's most personal information and public contracts from the start. I wouldn’t count on a complete withdrawal from DOGE, nor would I expect Musk to completely disappear. Instead, it’s more likely that he’ll reduce his involvement in DOGE while still maintaining control, albeit with a diminished presence in the media spotlight. This practice is common in governments worldwide; many leaders step down from their positions but remain active behind the scenes.

Federal agencies are not there to make a profit, but to provide the services that are already paid for in taxes. This "cutting costs" is the equivalent of a small person not buying food to save money. What's money good for if not to buy the things you need. These rich bastards appear to have forgotten that.
Why not impound Musk's fortune instead? It would flush more money into the federal purse and there would only be one person unhappy about it, instead of millions.
